We had never considered going to Mallorca, but after seeing friends and hearing their recommendations, we booked a spontaneous trip.
And it turns out it was a great recommendation. The island is beautiful, with so much to see and do. It’s relaxed, friendly, and picturesque. It’s also a mecca for cyclists and walkers, despite its reputation as a party island, thanks to Magaluf.
We hired a car to get around, and we would recommend you do the same.
If you get a car, we recommend driving the Ma-10 road up the west side of the island. Without doubt, it’s one of the most impressive roads you will ever drive. The landscape is unlike anything we have experienced before.
The road is slow and winding, so allow plenty of room for cyclists who like to thrash themselves by cycling up those mammoth hills.
In alphabetical order, these are the places we visited. Alarรณ, Alcรบdia, Artร , Cala Figuera, Cala Ratjada, Castillo de Bellver, Deiร , Fornalutx, Manacor, Palma, Petra, Pollenรงa, Porto Cristo, Santanyรญ, Sรณller and Valldemossa.
All of the imagery below was shot on the Fujifilm X-T5 with the 33mm f/1.4, 23mm f/2, and 85mm f/1.2 lenses.
