Highgate Cemetery is a fascinating and historic landmark in London, one of London’s Magnificent Seven cemeteries, and draws visitors from all over the world.
After all, it’s one of the most famous cemeteries on the planet.
We’ve visited on more than one occasion and have put a post together about visiting Highgate Cemetery.
The post includes a brief history, famous residents, tour information and other visitor info, so head over for more details about the place; otherwise, stick around here and check out the Highgate Cemetery pictures.

It’s fair to say most people visit to see the graves of the famous people buried at the cemetery, but the architecture attracted us.
The cemetery is quite the place to take photos. It’s like a ready-made film set, with sections such as Egyptian Avenue, the Circle of Lebanon, and the Catacombs.
The architecture is impressive. Remarkably, taking a poor photograph can be tricky.
If you’re interested in photography, we have a dedicated section for travel photography, including equipment reviews and tips.
